Outsourcing: Giving It Away
Outsourcing is giving tasks or responsibilities to other people or companies, letting you focus on what you love while someone else takes care of the rest. This practice can significantly improve your mental, emotional, and physical health by reducing stress and freeing up time for what truly matters. Remember, outsourcing isn’t just a strategy for business efficiency—it’s a wellness tool that can lead to a happier, healthier life. Trust the process, and you might find that outsourcing not only simplifies your life but enhances it.

Spring is a time of renewal and growth, and what better way to embrace the season than by giving ourselves a good spring cleaning? But spring cleaning doesn't just mean decluttering our physical space – it also means taking care of our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Spring cleaning isn't just about dusting and decluttering – it's about preparing yourself for the new season in every area of your life. By taking an integrative approach to spring cleaning, you'll create a solid foundation for growth and renewal in the months ahead.
Embracing Black Joy: A Reflection on Resilience and Healing
In a society that often tries to invalidate the experiences of Black individuals, finding happiness and joy is a resistance. It's a way to show that despite the challenges, we are still capable of experiencing happiness and leading fulfilling lives. Commitment to well-being and happiness is a form of revolution. It’s a way to challenge the systemic oppression and racism in society. In this form, healing is an act of resistance. During this Black History Month, I encourage you to be unapologetically Black and joyful. Be unapologetically healing. Be unapologetically well.

Changing My Role: Thanksgiving 2023
All families have particular dynamics. Within the family dynamic everyone plays a role. A role I have filled in my family for years is “helper.” I started to embody this role around the time I was seven years old, and it has been one I’ve carried throughout my life. Fast forward 30 years, and I am just realizing that I have spent every single family holiday helping in the kitchen. This year, I am changing my role!
Mothering While Healing Generational Trauma
Here’s what I know for sure: Breaking generational curses is hard! I believe it is hardest for those who are one generation removed from the trauma itself. We are doing the work of healing ourselves while also trying to create a safe environment for someone else. Remember to be kind and patient with yourself. Remember to forgive yourself…and forgive again.
