The B. Well Scholarship provides financial assistance to two undergraduate students currently enrolled in a four-year Historically Black institution pursuing studies in mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or addiction-related fields. The scholarship aims to support and encourage students dedicated to these fields of study and working towards positively impacting BIPOC communities.
The two selected students will receive $500 to support their college expenses. The scholarship funds can cover tuition fees, textbooks, or any other expenses related to their academic pursuits. By providing this financial assistance, the B. Well Scholarship hopes to ease the financial burden on students and enable them to focus on their studies and career goals.

Eligibility
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
Current enrollment in a four-year degree program at a HBCU
Must be pursuing a mental health or medical field of study

A 500-word essay explaining why you want to pursue mental and behavioral health, nursing, or addiction medicine. Please also describe how your work will benefit marginalized communities.

Selection
The scholarship committee will carefully evaluate all the applications received and select the scholarship recipients based on the following criteria:
quality of essay
applicant’s potential for positive impact on the field of mental and behavioral health (as demonstrated by the essay and level of current volunteer activities or employment in the field)
relevance of the courses taken as shown on the transcript.
The decision-making process is not influenced by GPA or test scores. Decisions of the Scholarship board are final.
