About Self-Mothering
When you can mother yourself, you become increasingly powerful because you have the tools to self-soothe, self-affirm, and exercise self-compassion. These tools are essential for everyone and are increasingly important for those who have experienced their mothers as rejecting, critical, or unavailable.

Broken Things
My car charger works...except when it doesn’t. I have an iphone charger in my car that is a bit temperamental. When you plug it in, it works...sometimes...and sometimes it doesn’t. One of the officers was charged with wanton endangerment for shooting a gun into a neighboring apartment. Just so we are clear, Breonna Taylor was a 26-year-old Black woman who was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) during a botched raid on her apartment.
