Breaking Contracts for Black History Month
As we reflect on the state of wellness in Black America this February, it's clear that the journey to health—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual—is fraught with challenges yet filled with potential. My workshops often end with heartfelt confessions from women of color who admit to neglecting their self-care. These admissions are a crucial first step. The real question becomes about commitment: How ready are we to invest our time, energy, and resources into genuinely healing ourselves? Here, I explore the profound necessity of breaking free from the chains of our past to reclaim our well-being and honor our ancestors.

This Mother's Day, I reflected deeply on mothers' foundational role in shaping lives, underscoring the critical importance of self-love in women's wellness. Mothers are the first teachers and nation-builders; their well-being directly influences the future. By nurturing themselves with love, respect, and joy, mothers enhance their lives and impart these crucial values to their children.
