Spring is in the Air!

Spring, a season of immense potential and new beginnings, holds a special place in my heart as it marks my birth. It's a time synonymous with words like rebirth, renew, refresh, and reset. This week, I'm excited to share some insights that can help you harness the transformative power of this season for your mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.

Rebirth (Spiritual health): Spring reminds us that we are infinite beings. No one, and nothing, ever dies. Winter is a season of sleep and rest. It is a time of stillness and contemplation. The grey and barren trees in the snowy season still sustain life within them. The Winter is a time to explore life within. During the Spring season, we witness the leaves and flowers return to the branches of the trees. The tree stands bright and green again. It blooms and begins spreading seeds to ensure its continuation on Earth. Like the tree, Spring offers us a time to start new projects, sew new seeds, and develop new ideas. Expand! This is a season to grow.

Renew (Emotional Health): As Psalm 51:10 beautifully states, ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.’  This Spring, take charge of your emotional renewal. Reflect on who you need to forgive, what's holding you back, and what you need to let go of. This is your time to decide to feel better, to set your intentions towards positive emotions, and to choose joy!

Refresh (Physical Health): Spring cleaning is integral to this season. During the Winter months, the dust settles in our homes and often in our minds. Spring presents a time to open the windows and replace the heavy air of Winter with the lightness of Spring. We need to refresh! This is a time to move things around. I encourage you to brighten the colors in your home. Change your linens, give away old clothes, and plant flowers. A welcoming environment is vital to physical well-being. When you finish all the cleaning and reorganizing, go for a walk. This is a beautiful season to be outdoors!

Reset (Mental Health): Jean Baptiste Molière said, "The mind has great influence over the body, and maladies often have their origin there." He is right. Well-being begins in the mind. I often do workshops that explore mindfulness. I start by discussing the difference between the mind and the brain. I can best describe the brain as the hardware and the mind as the software. Our brains download patterns, memories, language...stuff we use unconsciously. The mind is consciousness; it stores emotions and thoughts. We can use our minds to respond to our brains. The brain might think, "You're not enough" (perhaps that was a program downloaded in childhood), but the mind can recognize that thought and respond by saying, "You are enough, and I love you" (that is the software, a new program being downloaded). Reset your programs this season. What faulty downloads do you need to release? Choose to think well of yourself and others this season. Heal your mind!

B. Well: Live Consciously is prepared to help you succeed this season. It is a great time to begin individual or group coaching as you prepare to soar this summer. We offer excellent coaching and facilitation services. We'd be honored to serve you!
